Jan was introduced to the travel industry over 20 years ago through her passion for scrapbooking. She was asked by a fellow travel planner to assist with organizing Scrapbook Cruises, which eventually led to planning other types of travel.
Throughout her career, Jan continues to educate herself in the travel field.
She has fulfilled the requirements of the CTA (Certified Travel Associate) program, CLIA Accredited Cruise Counselor certification (ACC), as well as certifications with individual cruise lines. She has completed Destination Specialist, Wedding Destination, and Resort certifications for many locations around the world, and she is very proud to be a graduate of the Disney College of Knowledge and the Universal Specialist Program.
In addition to certification classes, Jan has attended on-site agent educational programs including: Disney World, Disneyland, Universal Orlando, Disney Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, Princess Cruise Line, Carnival Cruise Line, Disney's Earmarked conferences, Global Travel Marketplace, and Ensemble Travel Group Convention. She has also toured many hotels and resorts during her career.
Jan has had the pleasure of traveling to many destinations, such as Canada, Mexico, England, France, Bahamas, US Virgin Islands, many US states, as well as Disney World, Disneyland, and Universal Orlando, among other locations. She has also enjoyed coordinating and escorting cruise groups. In addition to her travel education, she feels her own travel experience helps her with planning trips for others.
When she is not planning trips for others, Jan can be found spending time with friends and family, walking at the park, reading travel books, and planning her of her next travels!
